Bradford Town FC 0-3 Swindon Town FC | Match Report

Luke McQueen | 03/12/2025
Bradford Town FC fell 3-0 to League Two side Swindon Town at Trowbridge Road on Wednesday night in front of a passionate home crowd of 508, our highest attendance at Trowbridge Road in a decade.
Swindon Town opened the scoring early on with a long-range dipping effort inside the first minute, and doubled their advantage with a scruffy second goal in the ninth minute as the Blues failed to deal with a corner. The fast-paced match came to a halt briefly in the 17th minute, as Raymond Oppong was treated for injury, which he was able to fortunately continue after.
We continued to work our way back into the game, and were able to generate a chance in the 22nd minute through Curtis Dunn, before another shot, this time from Jensen Wakefield, was comfortably saved in the 34th minute. The Blues held their composure for the remainder of the half, and went into the break at a deficit of 2-0.
We sparked further momentum in the second half, with two successive chances coming off back-to-back corners in the 60th minute. As we went deeper into the second half, the Blues made more progress as time went on, with Swindon needing a goal line clearance in the 65th minute to deny a goal-bound effort. Swindon Town did however take advantage of a free header at a corner in the 67th minute, and made the scoreline 3-0.
Our final chance came from a free-kick in the 83rd minute, which saw an attempt from Shanley deflected just wide.
Swindon Town advance to the semi-finals of the Wiltshire Premier Shield, as we now prepare to take on Wellington at home on Saturday 6th December.
